Christmas with Grandpa

Every year we do a little Christmas get-together with Grandpa before we leave for NM. This year we stuck to tradition and went and saw the lights in Winterhaven, then dropped by our favorite dessert cafe to get some sweets and then headed home to open presents. Every year Grandpa seems to outdo himself and this one was no exception! Henry loves his new present!!

The lights at Winterhaven are awesome - this year brought some new and creative designs and this one was pretty cool
This is for all you Grinches out there...be careful.
The prince in his chariot
Best tree award - it was really pretty

Me, Grandpa and Will - Henry was being a stinker
At the unveiling
He was pretty darned excited
He's gonna get kicked one of these days if he gets on like that...
I asked him if he wanted to name it Trigger, Silver, Copper or Lightning? He insisted on "Horsey."
Hi Ho Horsey - Away! Thank you Grandpa!!

Getting ready for break time…

Things are starting to wind down around here and we’re excited to welcome the new year. We’ve been doing SOME kind of workout every day since I can remember and it’s starting to catch up to us. Rather than get easier they seem like they’ve gotten harder and harder!! Haha. Maybe it’s just pure exhaustion but hopefully it will pay off when race day comes. Tommy’s break starts on Thursday and he’ll have 2 solid weeks off, so that’ll be really nice. We’ll see how long we can go without starting some kind of project. 🙂

Merry Christmas to MEEEEE!! Bwahahaha

Got my Christmas present (a new crash pad for those of you who aren’t climbers…which are most of you) from Tommy earlier today thanks to Captain Keto who brought it down from Flagstaff. Picked it up in Phoenix and I can’t wait to get it dirty!!! (Thank you again Keto – We love you!)

Found the fabric online and sent it to VooDoo for a custom job
Henry breaking it in...he started jumping on it the minute I opened it up!
