Hueco Trip, Part III

This was our first trip back to Hueco after Maria’s foot surgery. Even after about 10 weeks of very little climbing and easy stuff at that, Maria and I had a pretty successful trip.  Maria ran up three problems, including a V3 and V4, while I was able to get up the same V4 after a day of rest.  All in all, a fun trip!

Hueco, Part II

After a month of bouldering and strength training at our local gym, we returned to Hueco to test our mettle.  This time we spent only two days in the park and two nights in a nice cozy hotel room!  Nothing says good bouldering like a great night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast at the Village Inn! Anyways, the first day was spent on the general access North Mountain, while the second day we enjoyed a guided tour to the East Spur.

My First Hueco Trip!

Maria finally got me out bouldering in Hueco Tanks.  The place is a boulderer’s paradise and was pretty fun, though we completely owned ourselves after only two-and-a-half days. We ended up going with a bunch of people from the local climbing gym in Tucson and camping in the park, which as a side note has a kick-butt campground (hot showers and the whole she-bang).

A Day at The Ruins

This was a fun day of climbing that we shared with my boss and a couple of our mutual friends on Mt. Lemmon.
